We are hiring an experienced Water Pipe Technician to support civil and site utility projects involving water mains, service lines, and underground utility systems.

This is a field-based role working alongside excavation and concrete crews to install municipal and site water systems safely and accurately.

This is not residential plumbing -- underground utility experience is required.

What You'll Do

Utility Installation

• Install underground water mains and service lines
• Perform trench layout, pipe alignment, grading, and bedding prep
• Cut, assemble, and connect PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, and copper pipe
• Support storm drain and sewer utility installations when needed

Testing & Compliance

• Conduct pressure testing and leak detection
• Ensure work meets engineering specs and local code
• Follow OSHA, trench safety, and confined space protocols

Field Coordination

• Read site plans, utility drawings, and grade stakes
• Work closely with excavation crews during trenching and backfill
• Operate compactors, pumps, pipe saws, and laser levels
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and equipment

What We're Looking For

• Experience in underground utility installation or site work construction
• Strong understanding of water distribution systems
• Ability to read construction drawings and grade layouts
• Knowledge of trench safety and confined space procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA certification
• Municipal water system experience
• Experience operating mini excavators or skid steers
• CDL license (plus)
